Based on a true story, Into the Wild is about a privileged young man, Christopher McCandless (Emile Hirsch), who graduates from university. He has the world in his hands, from the outside he has a top-class education, and wealthy, supportive parents.

But his deepest desire is to distance himself from the material world of money and ‘things’. So he sets off on a journey in search of adventures in the Alaskan wilderness… Continue reading

Twilight

This gallery contains 9 photos.

This is a rather delayed review of the first film of the Twilight Saga. But it has won the poll with an impressive 221 votes! So here is my take on it:
The first thing that I can comment truthfully on is the music… if anything, the emotion comes from the music in this film. Emotion, however, is not something that would be seen throughout the protagonists. Bella (Kristen Stewart) and her vampire boyfriend, Edward, (Robert Pattinson) are predominately absent of extreme feelings or overall facial movement…

She had very little dialogue, and when she did speak, her typically emotionless facials were replaced by concentration, probably focussing on her English accent… Continue reading

This gallery contains 11 photos.

Wow! So guess what I’ve been watching and totally thought it was extremely similar to a certain film series…

That’s right! After watching the Twilight Saga films which were written by Stephanie Meyer during 2005-2008 (which has created multi-millions in recent years) I realised that it is rather similar to the Roswell series which debuted in 1999 with the final episode airing in 2002.

Let me explain further. I am no “twi-hard”, nor am I a “twilight hater”. I do not enjoy the storyline, the actors or characters within the Twilight films. However… Continue reading
